Performance Improvement Plan

Our agency is having an issue with a dispatcher who has been released for almost a year. We are having issue with her performance at the console. The performance in question involves many areas of concern. This will be our agencies first PIP program. I have put together a PIP form from some assistance through other shared files.


Does anyone on here have any files that they are able to share from a PIP program that they have done before? I would like to take them directly through my email if that is possible. I am able to attach it at a later time.

Disengaged Trainee

I have a question for the group related to Halcyons article about disengaged trainees:

I have a person in phase 2 of 3 that is showing some signs of disengagement following an MCI (quadruple fatality) last week and I am wondering about/if there could be any connection, and any words of wisdom anyone might have?

I reached out to Halcyon, she had some insight (thanks!!!), just searching for more.

Have you straight out asked the trainee? "I've noticed this and I've felt this way after an event like that. What about you?"

For the next quarterly virtual workshop we're talking about Effective Feedback Skills for Trainers, but I'm still deciding on what the topics should be for the Fall and Winter workshops.

Id like to see something about accountability of veteran staff. They really seem burnt and checked out yet they are not being held accountable for mistakes or not following procedures.
